Drumroll please

For the past week and a half I have been working very hard with Beth, at I Should Be Folding Laundry. It all started when she emailed me to ask some Photoshop questions. Well, she kept asking, and asking, and asking some more. I got damned tired of it, okay just kidding. I would never, ever get tired of it! But we finally decided that we both had something wonderful to offer. Not just to each other, but to the whole darned blogging world.

So, we've been working all day, all night, and burning the midnight oil. Feeding our kids (at least I have been) a myriad of processed foods and PB&Js. Typing eleventy-billion emails. Cussing like sailors (okay, only every once in awhile). And we're finally ready to roll out the big project.

Introducing, bddbdbdbdbdbdbdbdbdb (that's a drumroll):

Be Design

Get on over there quick. That's an order. Sit a spell and take it all in. We've poured our hearts and souls into this folks. So hop on that email and contact us quick because we're going to be so busy, we might not see the light of day for the next 289 days. And you don't want to be the last one in line, trust me!!

And did I mention that there's a Grand Opening Sale involved. You know you can't pass up a good deal!!!

**A special note to Beth: Thank you so much for asking me to be a part of this. It's a huge honor to be working with you, my friend.

What was that racket?

Last night shortly after I tucked BJ in, I heard a huge racket coming from his room. I when in to investigate and saw nothing out of the ordinary and BJ peering at me innocently from his bed. "I love you, mommy!"

So this this morning I went in to get him up and this is what I found in bed with him. I guess he had them under the covers with him. Ouch!
When I asked my him why he put all the hangers in his bed, he said, "In case you needed to hang something up!" Why didn't I think of that.
This is a picture of the beautiful bouquet of wild flowers BJ picked for me over the weekend.

Make sure you hide the evidence

So today while BJ was at mother's day out, I decided to clean his wreck of a room. It was bad. Triple dog bad. I normally trash things as I go along. Broken toys, things that are missing pieces, things that get on my nerves. But not too much at once, because I don't want him to notice, ya know.

So today I ditched a few items. Some old boxes (which BJ collects with a passion), a plastic necklace, a matchbox car that was missing wheels. You get the point. Well, I forgot to seal up the garbage bag and take it out. You can see where this is going right? Yep, BJ caught site of some of his valuables in the can and freaked out.

BJ: Mommy, why is this in the garbage can?
Me: Because it's broken and it's garbage.
BJ: But it's mine and I love it.
Me: BJ, it's broken and you have so many more to play with.
BJ: But I WANT it (starting to cry).
Me: Fine, dig it out and put it away. If I see it on your floor, I throw it away again.

After he walked away, I promptly closed the bag and took it out. I didn't want to take a chance that he'd see the rest of the crap I was trying to get rid of!

I'm on a roll

Yes, I'm that blogger. The one that doesn't post for days or even weeks at a time and then gets the bug and posts lots and lots in a short period of time. Hopefully, I'll keep up and blog everyday. I have plenty to say and endless amounts of material, trust me!

On the horizon: crawling

I love this series. So unbelievably sweet.

My loves
On a funny yet slightly disturbing note, BJ told me that when Lovey Bluebird (that's what he calls Mia) grows up, he wants to marry her. I tried to explain why it couldn't be, but he just wasn't accepting it!

So I haven't posted pictures of the kiddos in awhile. Enjoy!

Comment, for Pete's sake

Go to Beth's blog and read all about blog commenting etiquette. Do it now. I'm going to count to three and if your not over there by the time I get to three, then you have to go to time-out.*

1...............2..................................................3

*Okay, it works with BJ, my 4.5 year-old, so I thought I'd try it out on you too.

Green acres (well green 8x5' plot that is. . .)

So BJ and I decided we wanted to plant a vegtable garden this year. We'd actually talked about doing one last year, but never got around to it. Well, this year we're serious. Because we have so many deer out here, you have to have at least a 6 foot fence to keep them out otherwise they'll eat all your stuff. Now that we have a fence behind our house, it makes it much easier. Since the soil around our house is very rocky, we decided a raised bed would be our best bet. Our neighbor owns a lumber yard and someone else in town was giving away topsoil, so we're all set. We started our seeds a week ago and are very excited to see them emerge and grow!

So here is the beginning of our photodocumentary:

All of that dirt got moved by me. I became close friends with Mr. Shovel and Mrs. Wheelbarrow. Oy! BJ was more interested in excavating "treasure rocks" and fossils.

We've planted zucchini, yellow squash, summer squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, jalapenos, bell peppers, basil, chives, oregano, cilantro, and green beans!

Dear Pillow,

I'm so sorry that I haven't been spending enough time with you lately. I really do miss you. Alot. This morning at 4 a.m. there's nothing I would have rather been doing than resting my tired head on your feathery softness. Don't think I didn't notice that you gave me the cold shoulder when I did finally crawl back into bed at 5. I noticed. Maybe you could have a talk with Mia and let her know that you need me too. And explain to her that I need you and there's really no reason for her to wake up at 4 a.m. anymore. I mean I can understand that she needs to wake up at midnight or so to eat, and I'm down with that since I'm usually still awake anyway, but the 4 a.m. thing is getting tedious. And tiring. And unnecessary.

Love,
Christy

If you are reading this - you have been tagged. Let me know if you played along.

Making the rounds

Yep, the stomach virus is making the rounds. I had it Sunday/Monday and Brian had it Monday/Tuesday. Mia has yet to get it. Hopefully she won't. It was nasty but quick. Don't think I need to say more!

I'm eagerly waiting to hear from Lisa to find out if it will be pink or blue!! Hurry up girl!!!

More later.

What a night

Apparently BJ had a stomach bug. A raging one. He puked 3 times last night. Once he didn't even wake up and when I went to check on him, he was sleeping in it. Needless to say he had 2 baths in the middle of the night and I'm washing the last of the three sets of bedding.

The only good thing I can say about last night is Mia and BJ were never awake at the same time. Nope, they decided to tag team it. As soon as one was cleaned up and back in bed, the other woke up to eat. Then I would crawl into bed and the other would puke again. Good times. Why couldn't this have taken place on a night when Brian was home?!

So today, you'd never know BJ was sick all night. Me on the other hand, I look like the walking dead. And I have a headache. And I still need to bathe.

I'm dreaming of an early bedtime tonight.
